President of United Nations Youth Association (UNYA) (WA)
Daniel Miller is 20 years old and has been involved in the United Nations Youth Association since 2000, when he attended the UNYA National Youth Conference as a delegate in secondary school. Daniel has taken on various roles in the organisation over the past four years, and is the current President of UNYA (WA) and Webmaster of the Association nationally. Perhaps his largest undertaking was co-convening the large-scale UNYA National Youth Conference in 2003, hosted by UNYA (WA) in Perth, on which he worked with Sasanka Thilakasiri for over twenty months.As a result of his involvement of UNYA, Daniel has made many good friends in various parts of the country, and enjoys travelling interstate when he can. Now in the final months of his substantive involvement with UNYA, Daniel is dedicated to ensuring the ongoing success of the organisation and the continuing enthusiasm of its younger members. A student of Arts/Law at the University of Western Australia in his third year, he hopes to broaden his horizons in coming years and work overseas in line with his largely humanitarian interests.
