Profile :: Siddhartha Chakrabarti
Siddhartha is currently Membership Officer for UNYA (WA) and is in his 3rd year of a Law and Economics double degree at the University of WA. He was a school prefect and has been a delegate to The Hague International Model United Nations. He loves public speaking and debating and believes that constructive, open and pragmatic dialogue is integral in solving long- term disputes. Like most UNYA members, Sid’s responsibilities extend past those of his portfolio, and he takes a keen interest in UNYA’s education programme. Sid is majoring in Economic History with a minor in International Business Economics as well as Law, and is also learning to speak Mandarin Chinese. His long- term aspirations are to pursue a career in the realm of international diplomacy and is working towards that end. Outside of UNYA and UWA, Sid enjoys running, cycling and playing football and is planning to complete the Bibbulmun track at the end of the year, with Kakoda flagged for some time in the future.
